| Versace Spring/Summer 2018 Show My favourite collections from Milan Fashion Week |
Gucci
Gucci has become a brand that is sought out by everyone, everywhere, from Harry Styles to KPOP groups such as BTS. Alessandro Michele certainly did not hold back with this collection, it echoed everything that Michele has brought to the label. The bright colours, the dazzling sparkles; all pressed against a monotone background, it made my mind jump to characters straight out of a Baz Luhrmann meet Wes Anderson film.
Versace
This collection was truly and utterly astonishing; it was 2017 meets the 90's, it was a testimony to the great man that is Gianni Versace and it was the true definition of what it looks like to win Fashion Week. Donatella reinvented and modernised looks made by her brother, and succeeded in making them extremely formidable. She also closed the show with Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, Helena Christensen and Carla Bruni. This show was one for this history books.
Antonio Marras
A collection which was creative, fun, elegant and poised but also allowed the models to walk down the runway engaging with their more dramatic or theatrical side, count me in. The collection was Macbeth meets the runway.
Krizia
Krizia's collection took me to a place filled with gardens and mazes. It was a collection which radiated beauty, simplicity and elegance. This collection was made for the boss women (which is becoming a reoccurring theme this fashion month)
Vivetta
When first seeing this collection I didn't really pay attention to it that much, I mean, there is nothing I hate more in the world then brands printing their name across the middle of a t-shirt. But, when I managed to look past that I saw a collection which connected me to Mother Earth. A collection based off flowers, and animals, and like the natural world this collection was beautiful, soft, dreamy and modest.
Thank you for reading
